Re: Noisy in 4wd
Actually it was me and my XJ with the 242. Mine is pretty quiet. I cant hear
it over my Goodyear MTRs :) There is virtually no difference in sound while
in full time for me. On the other hand, If your transfer case fluid is Red
and not burnt smelling with no foam in there, Im sure its fine. Maybe check
the level, if its a bit low it might make some extra noise. Mine used to get
noisy when it leaked before I resealed it.

I will get some noisy tires then, cos the radio is pissing me off somewhat..
will also check the level of fluid.. to be honest, it is not that bad, but I
just wanted to see what others said about it.. ty to all who offered
advice..
