What are the differences between the CJ 4WD system and the TJ 4WD?
I hear limited slip on the TJ what does that mean?

a limited slip differential is a device that allows power to be sent to two
different drive wheels without one wheel completely running away. for
example, if you have one tire on ice and the other on dry pavement, you
could theoretically be stuck if you didn't have some sort of limited slip
differential.
a limited slip diff comes in many flavors - cones, clutches, viscous fluid,
worm gears, etc.
these are all known by many trade names - chevy once called it 'posi-trac',
mopar called it 'sure-grip'. they all had/have a name for it.
/RANT ON/
what really bothers me is when some jackass asks me if my Rubicon has a
posi-trac. my 440 powered dodge dart did NOT have a posi-trac either.

Why would that bother you? Your Rubicon has a ltd. slip in the rear.
