Maybe so, but I believe the replacement page:
http://www.raybuck.com/pages/replace/rep-spi.html shows a hole at '73 to
'77 that is replaced by the '73 to '95 which also replaces the '78 to
'86 that is still for sale. I remember seeing the inside saddle tanks on
something around '80 and thinking would I rather crash burn and die when
the driveshaft punched it?

Perhaps, you already have auxiliary saddle tanks added, did they do
a good job cutting through the fender, or did they take the easy way and
you have to slide the pump past the wheel into the well?
