Hi Lon,
The one I'm familiar with was a new '65 at the time I was station
with it's owner in Germany. And the front end suspension was bolted to
what looked like 2X4s I look long and hard for it on the internet but
all I could find was what the shell was nailed to without what the
springs would be bolted to:

The older Moggies had several pieces of wood scattered as
body and even structural parts. This of course was the
4 wheel series, the early ones only had 3 wheels. Don't
remember a lot of wood differences between the Plus4
and the hotrod Morgan Plus8.
The new Morgan which may be returning to these shores for
the Nigel Shiftright set is the Aero8, a real hotrod for
the old geezer set.
