Re: Is my Jeep lifted?
Bill, I don't know what you are pointing at?
That diagram shows a multi leaf spring pack like my CJ7 is stock, (I
have stock springs, just arched to 2.5" with a keeper leaf replacing the
second one down) his photo shows a 3 leaf spring pack on his with a
shipping strap on it... That just doesn't look stock to me....
The stock one in your link looks like my CJ7's with 5 leafs up front.
I think his 3 leaf spring packs are aftermarket and likely lifted from
the tire clearance he has with the 31x10.5's he is running.
We should just email Brian, the military Jeep guy, he would know the
stock bumper height.

Re: Is my Jeep lifted?
Spring clamps come stock on all Real Jeeps two in from and two in
the rear of the axle, it is the only thing that stops axle wrap:
http://www.apple.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Tech/Springs.html And they all have
pads in the dimples at the ends of the longer springs to prevent
squeaks. Yours probably got whipped off from rocks, simply wrapping a
coat hanger wire several times around each spring will work great, Hot
Rodders use a pair of exhaust caps bolted together to stop axle wrap and
dampen wheel hop. It's a very important part.

the rear of the axle, it is the only thing that stops axle wrap:
http://www.apple.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Tech/Springs.html And they all have
pads in the dimples at the ends of the longer springs to prevent
squeaks. Yours probably got whipped off from rocks, simply wrapping a
coat hanger wire several times around each spring will work great, Hot
Rodders use a pair of exhaust caps bolted together to stop axle wrap and
dampen wheel hop. It's a very important part.
