Re: The Motor Oil Bible
What do you think about Mobile's new high mileage oils that they say you can
go 5K+ before changing? I'm not using the stuff, I'm just curious... Mobile
is arguably one of, if not the best oils out there... It makes me thing that
if they say it can be done, maybe it can... Now I know these new Mobile oils
are synthetic or at least blends, but is it true? 5K?

of oils, unless you plan to burn it like in a diesel engine. It's the
normal contaminates that destroy the lubrication qualities of oil such
as dirt, condensation, gasoline, soot, acid, and engine wear particles,
that we eliminate by changing oil at three thousand or less if you drive
off-road or pull a trailer. Or every quarter mile on the drag strip.
