MORE FRIGGEN HORSE POWER!

I have decided to do an overhaul on the 93 XJ and am looking for advice
on HP and TQ adding options that won't cost more in labor, parts cost
is ok. It is going to be bored anyhow and a new cam is going in it. I
was thinking maybe doing an RV cam and maybe a stroker crank but I am
not sure if he is replacing the injectors or not. I am trying to keep
cost down and increase HP and TQ
Im cheap, sorry.

Jeremy "Scooter" Yachik

Jeep related apparel coming soon but check these out anyhow.

Commercial add on's to your questions are not welcome here.

If you want to talk Jeeps, that is fine, but keep your business
elsewhere please.

Build a stroker with 4.2 parts, it's a popular rebuild, there are even
remanufacturers (Titan and Golan) that do this and sell the engines as
custom strokers... Basically you take a 4.0 block and head, and put the
old 4.2 Wrangler/CJ rotating bits in, the longer stroke of the 4.2 rods
and crank, gives you more displacement... Both of those engine remans
advertize 4.7 and 4.9 liter engines using this technique and some
combination of piston machining and overboring.

I've used RV, or towing cams before, and have been disappointed at their
performance.

Some a little more drastic may be the ticket.

Cutline signatures are usually considered fair practice in most of
usenet as long as they are not too verbose, and as long as you are
posting honest questions and responses and not just posting for the sake
of getting an advertisement into a newsgroup. Most news readers will
delete a cutline sig when generating a response. As to your original
question, check out the Strokers group over on Yahoo, dedicated to
4.5-5.0 I-6 Jeep engines.

No need to get in a huff it was an honest mistake, I have never used
these things before so I don't know the rules. It isn't like I was
trying to offend or spam people I was just trying to get my name out
there. And I would hardly consider it abuse. But if you feel you should
report it as such then do what you need to do I figured you for a
person with a cooler head than that Bill.

Re: MORE FRIGGEN HORSE POWER! SPAM WARNING!

ANYHOW, I appreciate the info and I will see what I can do, hopefully
since it is already going to the machine shop and I figure that since
it is already getting bored about .030 over that it will need new
pistonds and crank so I will find out if he is going to replace
injectors and if so the making it a stroker with 4.2l parts should be
easy enough.

Whatever you do man, goodluck!

Sorry you were received so "coldly" in here. I'm somewhat of a newcomer

Preciate that, I figure that just rebuilding it will be a vast
improvement but I figure while it is open I might as well tweak er a
bit.
