Not so, I've had multiple cars that would set the cruise control at
25mph and who's owners manuals say it will work at 25mph. That
includes Ford, GM, Chrysler and imported vehicles, my '93 Jeep GC is
the ONLY car I've ever driven that required 35+ mph to use the cruise
control with the exception of a 2002 Jeep GC and a 2007 Jeep GC.

I don't know if it's a Jeep thing but it's sure true of GCs.

I don't know where they're getting it, either. I've NEVER driven a car
that required more than 25 mph to set the cruise except Jeep Grand
Cherokees.

Hello All,

It is clear to me that the Jeep is one of the few with the 35mph
minimum.
I myself have also driven other cars which can be set at lower speeds
than 35.
So i'm not worried about my insurance.
I don't like to change the axle ratio(suggested by snoman) as this
will be bad for fuel economy.
Other option already suggested by the local garage is changing in the
computer the size of the tires. Dis-advantage of this is that the
speedometer will be incorrect.

So i'm still hoping for a smart technician who can explain which board
to change, or even that i have to solder a different type of resitor
on a board.

Regards,
Jos

My '05 TJL requires min. 35 to engage. Most other vehicles I've owned had a
threshold of 25 mph. All would let you cut the speed back below the threshold
once CC is enabled.
