Maintenance question
I'm kind of new the jeep thing so if someone could help me out I would be
grateful. Went to Autozone today to get some basic maintenance items. The
guy there told me that according to his computer, I don't replace PCV or
fuel filter on my Wrangler (4.0). Is this correct? Thanks.

Re: Maintenance question
Today's gasolines have cleaners in them to keep the Positive
Crankcase Venation valve working properly.
You must drop the gas tank to replace the fuel filter:

Re: Maintenance question
You don't have either one.
The filter is part of the fuel pump inside the tank and you have a CCV
pipe that sucks all the time instead of a PCV valve.

Re: Maintenance question
It depends on the year I bet, I have a '93 YJ 4.0L and I have a fuel
filter on the drivers side frame rail behind the rear wheel.
And yeah, no PCV. But, make sure all the plastic lines that connect
the thing that LOOKS like a PCV valve on the valve cover to the air
box are clear and not accumulating crud. This is a fairly common
problem that ends up with air filters with oily dirt blowback in the
center.
