there is a flaw in the rear lense housing that allows for this to
happen....ur shorting out...there is a part in the lense that is easy to see where the wiring meet with the bulbs...u can see it ... it melts inside over time by heat of bulbs......sad thing is jeep doesnt offer it as a part but comes as a whole with the lense only.....tried to get warrenty to cover but no go cause the lense is a cosmetic part....dealership even couldnt explain it to warrenty company......go to a junk yard or spend 150 on a new whole lense unit....been there and forked over the bucks...u can check what I am saying by hooking up your working side and see the results......2001 grand cherokee....yet still have a Merry Christmas and get it fixed so you dont get pulled over....
