Not all TJs are weak -- just the 2.5L. Your 258 is comparable to the 4.0L,
which has plenty of power.

So when someone calls a TJ a 'sport', it is a 4 banger then?

And I was meaning the 4.0 engine. I hear of all these folks that
apparently can't get out of their own way when they have bigger tires
on.

No, the Sport model is the 4.0L engine. I generally have a hard time
getting out of my way at anything above 50mph, but can cruise at 60-65 most
days in 5th. 4th will take me to 70, but buzz my fillings right out.

I have 33s on my 2.5L with the stock 4.10 gears. A few intake/exhaust mods
has allowed me more use of 5th than normal... if someone with a 4.0L is have
problems, either they have the worst gears (what is it, 3.07?) with HUGE
tires, or just want a sports car.

No, the Sport model is the 4.0L engine. I generally have a hard time
