What permitted the Russians to recover after the Germans invaded in June '41
was the American arms supply lines that ran through Murmansk and Iran. In
fact, Hitler's push into the Volga and Caucusus in the summer of '42 was
partly to sever the Iranian corridor through which the American arms were
being brought into Russia. The Russian fought bravely (if not their own
troops killed them) but without massive American aid throughout the war
Little Joe would have been finished.

First, I was replying to a British fool who was talking through his ***.
Second, I don't recall the Russians doing anything to defend Britain. Right, it
was the Americans. Third, if you think Stalin believed Hitler would honor ANY
peace agreement between the two, you're an idiot.

Re: I own a lemon
You forget Stalin could do whatever he wanted to do and thought was in his (not
necessarily Russia's) best interests. The Russians were defending Britain by
diverting huge numbers of German troops to the Russian front. If you can't
figure this out then you're a half-wit and an idiot. More than half of the
ENTIRE German military was fighting on the Russian front.

Re: I own a lemon
The Russians were still doing the fighting and dying (and a lot of dying)
though.
