Let me make this purrfectly clear..I'm not a cat person, OK? Heck, I
don't even like dogs all that much although we have 4 of them. That
being said, I'd have probably drug the little kitten home with me too.
Not it's fault it was born, and shouldn't have to die like that.

Bet that's really comical. The young respect no boundries, and take
what they want regardless of what the adults have to say about
it...hmm, sounds like my kids ;-). I always said that baby animals are
cute so that their parents won't kill and eat them.

That's us with dogs...of the 4(yes, I said 4!), all except 1 were left
with us by our sons when they couldn't take care of them where they
lived. The one that wasn't dropped, was given to my wife as a birthday
present by another of my sons...Thanks, kids.

Re: Hey you diesel freaks!
OMG! What timing for a dead cat post...we've got a 5 yr old cat that has
gone dirty for some reason...it just started shittin' and pissin' everywhere
but the litter box...there hasn't been any changes around the house and the
vet says the cats health is fine....I woke this morning to find that it had
left a puddle in the kitchen, one in the dining room and crapped at the
bottom of the stairs after I spent half a day yesterday washing the floors
before my wife comes home tonight (she's Navy and only home on
weekends)...This is the final straw...but it's our families cat and I know
my poor 7 yr old daughter is gonna be very hurt that she's gone, as iis the
wife...even as much as I've had all I can take it's not going to be easy to
get rid of her...
The vets want $80. to put her down...at this time I just can't afford $80.
to have this thing put down...I thought maybe if I had a gun I could take
her somewhere and do it myself, but no gun!...grrrrr what do I do?? I then
thought sufficate it in a plastic bag or sumptin'...strangle it? and then
again, I'm not sure I have the heart to do that...I need a fast easy way
that I can live with....frustrating!
What am I to do??

When can they take them back?
My other cat was a rescuee too.
My eldest is a veterinary nurse, she saved it, when it's eyes were not yet

: > People are so stupid.
:
: Let me make this purrfectly clear..I'm not a cat person, OK?
Me either, trust me on this one.
I'm not even a critter person, though I grew up with the whole barn yard.
Horses, cows, dogs, cats a few chickens.
Heck, I
: don't even like dogs all that much although we have 4 of them. That
: being said, I'd have probably drug the little kitten home with me too.
: Not it's fault it was born, and shouldn't have to die like that.
That's pretty much exactly how I feel. Though this morning it's not even 7
a.m. and it wants to play.

Huh... cat somehow did NOT go to the fair with daughter last night.
and I missed it. Hmmmmmm... something stinks.
:
: Bet that's really comical. The young respect no boundries, and take
: what they want regardless of what the adults have to say about
: it...hmm, sounds like my kids ;-). I always said that baby animals are
: cute so that their parents won't kill and eat them.
*disgusted look*
You mean... we had the OPTION?
Is it too late?
Oh mannnnnn....
*grabbing the BBQ sauce*
Lets see, I will start with the youngest daughter and then her offspring,
then move on to....

:
: That's us with dogs...of the 4(yes, I said 4!), all except 1 were left
: with us by our sons when they couldn't take care of them where they
: lived. The one that wasn't dropped, was given to my wife as a birthday
: present by another of my sons...Thanks, kids.
Oh man, that is just so wrong.
When can they take them back?
My other cat was a rescuee too.
My eldest is a veterinary nurse, she saved it, when it's eyes were not yet
open. It grew, it needed a home, I had a weak moment.

Re: Hey you diesel freaks!
Find a local animal shelter and make a donation that you can afford. Most
will have flexibility in what you can pay. ASK.
Most normal people don't want to give themselves the memory of killing a
live creature. Conscience matters, some don't have it, some don't care.
You don't sound quite that callous, yet.
But fundamentally, $80 at $16 over 5 years is pretty damned cheap for
something your family has loved. Either place it with a shelter or stop
being cheap.
