Re: Help
Your electro magnetic clutch gets to hot to where the tolerence between
the magnet aperatus and the clutch is to far. It works for awhile and
then gets to hot, but it keeps working, untill the a/c thermostat tells
the clutch to disengage. Then it disengages.. then when the a/c
thermostat tells the clutch to re-engage, the magnetic aperatus is out
of tolerance and to far from the clutch to engage it, cause it's to hot.
One way to test this is to keep the a/c on full blast with the windows
open, so the car never cools and the clutch never disengages. If the
clutch doesn't disengage and the air stays on for good you know that
this may be the problem. Then close the windows and turn the air down.
If the car cools off and the clutch desengages and then won't re-engage,
this is another symptom of this problem

Re: Help
I've monitored the air conditioning the last couple of days, and I'm still
not sure what is going on. Yesterday was not such a hot day, and with the
windows open, I made it 40+ miles without it croaking. Sometimes on the 1
hr ride to work and back to home, I did not keep the window open because of
the noise with the cell phones. I cannot hear anything, but the cooling
stops and then begins again when I turn off the air conditioner and wait a
little while.
