My guess is that your Jeep has an inoperative or out-of-adjustment ovine
damper causing it to veer dangerously in one direction or another.
That's what the swerving or swaying motion you describe is caused by,
generally when following others too closely in heavy traffic. You should
be able to adjust the damper on your own with simple hand tools (the
damper attaches to the gussetbook at one end and the shoreline uptake reel
at the other, but the adjuster is at the peater pawl) but until you do I'd
simply try to not follow others too closely and leave more room for you to
react on your own.
