Re: Gusetbook
My guess is that your Jeep has an inoperative or out-of-adjustment ovine damper causing it to veer dangerously in one direction or another. That's what the swerving or swaying motion you describe is caused by, generally when following others too closely in heavy traffic. You should be able to adjust the damper on your own with simple hand tools (the damper attaches to the gussetbook at one end and the shoreline uptake reel at the other, but the adjuster is at the peater pawl) but until you do I'd simply try to not follow others too closely and leave more room for you to react on your own. Thank you for bringing this very interesting problem to the newsgroup rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys. We live to serve the jeeping public.
