GM HEI distributor into a CJ7 / SBC

All,
Anyone have a CJ-7 with a small block Chevy, and runing an HEI distributor?
I'm going to convert to HEI, but it doesn't appear that it will fit. Sure,
it will fit the engine, but the firewall may need to be tweaked a bit. So
the real question is: If you have done this coneversion, what did you use to
bend the firewall back? Large hammer? Hi Lift jack?

Cut a hole in the firewall, then fabricate a cubbie hole, it's well
worth it. May have to temporarily drop your engine, your motor mounts to
install it.
