Fuel Line replacement

Re: Fuel Line replacement
Nope, you have to just get dirty.
Also be aware you have 2 more gas lines that are likely just as rotten.
One is for the gas tank vent or charcoal canister and runs up the other
side.
As a temporary fix, you can just block the return line at the filter.
This can make hot starts very difficult though because the gas line has
a tendency to vapor lock, hence the return line.

It's quite cramped under there. Getting the old line out is'nt the problem.
Trying to bend the new one and shoving it in the place of the old one. Sure
would be a lot simlpler if the body tub was off

Re: Fuel Line replacement
If you check out plumbing supply shops, they sell a coil spring about a
foot long in different sizes. This slips over the line and allows bends
with no kinks.
I had the tub off when I did all of mine. Yup it was easy.
