Fuel Line replacement
Oh Jeep Gurus,
My 85 CJ7 has a rusted out fuel return line. When you start the Jeep it
will leak out gas all over the place.I crawled under it and looked at it and
it looks like a major operation to change the line.Does anyone have an
easier way to replace a rusted out line?
Thanks,

Re: Fuel Line replacement
It isn't really nearly as hard as it looks.

Re: Fuel Line replacement
Nope, you have to just get dirty.
Also be aware you have 2 more gas lines that are likely just as rotten.
One is for the gas tank vent or charcoal canister and runs up the other
side.
As a temporary fix, you can just block the return line at the filter.
This can make hot starts very difficult though because the gas line has
a tendency to vapor lock, hence the return line.
