Factory diff lock in Cherokee
I have a 96 Cherokee 4.0. Sport. Just got it. It came with a factory
option, rear locking diff.
Would anyone know under what conditions this kicks in? Do you have to be
in 4WD low or high? or 2WD? No manual controls for it in the truck..
Any ideas or info about this option would be geat. :-)

Re: Factory diff lock in Cherokee
The Trac-Loc is a limited slip, the clutches are under a constant
pressure not to slip: http://www.----------.com/temp/tracLoc.pdf
Probably the best of both worlds.

Re: Factory diff lock in Cherokee
What you have is a limited slip diff, not a true locker. AFAIK XJ's did not
come from the factory with a locker.
