I do believe you can manually set up that carb the same way as we do
with the feedback carb on the 258. You have to disable the computer
controls which gives you an instant 25% 'seat of the pants' power
boost. 'I' also got a nice gas mileage boost. It is easy to do. You
just run two new wires and hook the orange and purple wires at the
ignition module directly to the orange and purple wires at the
distributor. You then manually set the timing and carb mix. (the mix
screw exists under a metal plug that can be pried or drilled out.) Here
