My KJ has leather and a butt warmer. I like that because when I am on
a long trip to and from the trail it helps a lot. Also, since I have
to drive it to get groceries to take with me on the trail it is nice
to be comfy. :^)

Re: Does your Jeep have vinyl or cloth seating?
My '02 has the "cowhide material"! I swore at the dealer when he said
that....cuz I knew cows didn't sweat as much as I would in the heat of
summer!
I will be recovering these at some point.
I've moved to an area with a hotter summer, so we'll see how uncomfortable
it becomes.
So what to you figure....recover or replace the seats?!?!

Re: Does your Jeep have vinyl or cloth seating?
"The reason I wanted vinyl was because my fear of having to sit on a wet
cushion after it rains"
You get used to it. ;) Pretty soon you'll be wearing that wet-splotch all
over your butt like a badge of honor.
The cloth seats actually dry up pretty good. I get 'caught' (read: I don't
take too much care either about the rain) quite a number of times throughout
the spring/summer months. If there's a puddle in my seat in the morning, I
usually soak up what I can with a towel, cover it with a plastic garbage bag
and fire off to work. By the end of the day (if it didn't rain again) it's
completely dry. If it rained, well, repeat steps one and two. ;)
What you really want to be careful of is getting the dash wet. Luckily all
my gauges still work, but I hear water is unkind to them.
