Differential bearing gone bad

Re: Differential bearing gone bad
Tell us how you really feel George. I had a Chrysler corporate 9.25"
differential go bad once, but I didn't turn it into a campaign against the
whole company.
I am thinking of getting the Warn full-floating conversion for "pos D35c" on
my YJ. What do you think? I don't do really serious off-roading, because I
don't have the time and I am not a nut like some of these guys, but I do go
over roads like Cinnamon Pass a of couple times a season and I had the
Wrangler down Poughkeepsie Gulch once, in the rain, without incident except
for a potato-sized rock wedged between my new Turbo City cat-back system and
the frame. (There was an old Scout up on blocks about halfway with some guy
trying to put the C-clip back. I told him I would call home for him once I
got back to Silverton and let folks know he was going to be late.)

differential go bad once, but I didn't turn it into a campaign against the
whole company.

Re: Differential bearing gone bad
So many people post here once, asking why the their 35c went bad.
Bring out all these Wannabees testify to it's strength, as if it was
their mother that being put down. No other differential by any other
manufacturer breaks down with less than hundred thousand miles, no
matter how abused. Except, for the Ford nine inchers during the muscle

Re: Differential bearing gone bad
So what do you think Bill? Should I put a Warn full floating axle kit in
this thing ('95 YJ), or wait until it blows and get something bigger?
Remember, I still have the four banger and it shows no signs of giving up.

Re: Differential bearing gone bad
Hi Earle,
It's hard to say with your four banger. If I were in your position,
well, I wouldn't be you your position. ;-) Isn't there a saying like,
don't spend good money after bad? Maybe, keep your eyes and hears open
for a 44. But, if you wait for it to break, you haven't lost anything
the 35s have no salvage value.
