Re: Diesel Liberty
That is pure unadulterated bullsh*t! The only way to clean the
diesel soot from our air is use an exhaust filter like all diesels sold
in the U.S.of A. http://www.epa.gov/ne/eco/diesel/retrofits.html#dpmf
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/retrofit/documents/f03017.pdf
"The pollution emitted by diesel engines contributes greatly to our
nation's air quality problems. Even with more stringent heavy-duty
highway engine standards set to take effect in 2004 and 2007, existing
trucks and buses will continue to emit large amounts of nitrogen oxides
(NOx) and particulate matter (PM), both of which contribute to serious
public health problems in the United States. Fortunately, there are
several techniques and technologies designed to reduce diesel pollution
from existing trucks and buses. Using pollution control devices such as
a diesel particulate matter filter (DPF) is one way existing engines can
be upgraded (or retrofitted) to pollute less. This fact sheet discusses
diesel particulate matter filters."

Re: Diesel Liberty
So what? The only way to clean NO2 and CO from gasoline engine exhaust is to
use a catalyst in the exhaust flow.

Re: Diesel Liberty
Yes, That's all a gasoline engine needs, they don't need an
additional exhaust filter like your Ford. Without which it would look
like this when you pour the coal to it:

My CJ7 gets 589 NO2 and 0.11% CO with no catalytic converter in the
stream....
