Hey on my 2000 TJ if you hold in the odometer reset button while turning the
ignition to on it will run through the diagnostic mode and check all the
gauges and the odometer will run through a series of numbers and then
display the error codes if one is present.

gauges and the odometer will run through a series of numbers and then
display the error codes if one is present.

That's weird - I can do the odometer reset button/hold and the diagnostic
mode will run through, but never did it show the error codes on our 98TJ..
must have been a bastardized jeep... the codes showed up on the obdii
scanner though. oh well.

had assumed it just had to be done before the on, off sequence.
