It could be that someone ordered it, and did not pick it up. This
means the dealer is stuck with it and just wants to move it out. Also
mopar has a huge mark up so you could be getting it at cost. Just
make sure all the parts are there and it is complete. These roofs
take up a lot of space so he just wants it out of the shop.

You have to pay up front for anything you have a dealer order for you.

If that's the case they'd just dismantle a softtop off of one of their
stock put the hardtop on it and sell it as a Jeep that includes both
tops with requisite markup of course. But then again maybe I'm giving
them too much credit for brains.
