The green arrow indicates the grease fill plug if I have understood you right and the red circle indicates the bolt that I don't know what to do with. http://www.gsx.dk/jeep/axle_1.jpg http://www.gsx.dk/jeep/axle_2.jpg Thanks for all your help Henrik "Henrik" <hbl@12move.dk> wrote in message news:c9048d$1aku$1@news.cybercity.dk... > Hi Bill > > Hard to explain precesily where the bolts are located but tomorrow I will > try to take a decent picture, maybe that wil solve the mystery. > > Henrik > |
Re: Dana 25 front axle, lubricate
Hi Henrik,
That's just an adjustment to stop the steering knuckle from turning further, to keep the tire from rubbing the spring. Here's another lubrication chart you might like, it shows and suggests how much to fill the rear axle wheel bearings: http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Phot...tUniversal.gif God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ Henrik wrote: > > Now I finaly managed to get the photo taken. > The green arrow indicates the grease fill plug if I have understood you > right and the red circle indicates the bolt that I don't know what to do > with. > > http://www.gsx.dk/jeep/axle_1.jpg > http://www.gsx.dk/jeep/axle_2.jpg > > Thanks for all your help > > Henrik > > "Henrik" <hbl@12move.dk> wrote in message > news:c9048d$1aku$1@news.cybercity.dk... > > Hi Bill > > > > Hard to explain precesily where the bolts are located but tomorrow I will > > try to take a decent picture, maybe that wil solve the mystery. > > > > Henrik > > |

Re: Dana 25 front axle, lubricate
Interesting engine swap. Bet it goes quite well ! FWIW, if you blow a head
gasket, dont use the tin Rover replacement ones; but get the composite ones from a 61-63 Buick which will fit nicely.
