Took a look around. The radio I had from an old Comet didn't fit.
Bummer! Thought for sure it'd work when I got it for free at a yard sale. It'd look pretty cool too, with that solid feel and a retro look. Tried Crutchfield too but they don't sell archaic stuff anymore:) I have one of the Tuffy consoles that'd accept a stereo but 1) not totally sure how to install it right and 2) want to fill the hole in my dash without having to open the console all the time. I could, of course, pay a pro to "do it right and make it nice" but this is, after all, a Jeep. So, I finally found an old fashioned vendor that others might check out. JCWhitney. That's right. The old school, cheap vendor that we hate to fall back on when all else fails. They actually have several radios I think would fit. And, they're all in the $30 range; just right for a Jeep that'll take it's toll on electronics. Haha! Cheers. I'm not done looking around but I'll let ya'll know if I find anything better.
