CJ engine

CJ engine
My dad restored a CJ7, I think that it is a '84. It really looks sharp, all
black with stainless deck plate trim. The only problem with it is the
engine that is too small. I think that he told me that it was a 4 cylinder.
Anyway, he mentioned that there was a slight problem with switching it with
a larger engine. I don't quite remember right now, what he considered to be
the trouble. Dad is a Ford man first but is no stranger to rebuilding any
engine. Can someone tell me what the options are for a larger engine or any
specific questions for him so that I can help him out?
