1994 xj engine 4.0 to newer 4.0 engine swap
Has anyone ever put a 97 or 98 up cherokee 4.0 in a 94? Just curious. They
say they are different, but how different? Computer swap? ac, alt brackets?
Id like to try it if I can get a 20 or 30 thousand mile motor. Thanks in
advance.

Hey Tracy,
The '96 and up XJ's are ODBII. The '94 is ODBI, so a '97/'98 engine
will not swap into your '94 easily. Basically, ODBII has a lot more
wires than ODBI. Maybe just rebuild your current engine?
