Re: Cherokee Fixin' - U joints
Take a look at the link from Bill. The complete U-joint has an 'X' in
the center with 4 bearing assemblies on the ends. #4 shows the old 'U'
joint with the cup on (left side), #5 with it off. Complete new assembly
is on the right. The 4 bearing assemblies are usually referred to as
'Cups", the 'X' piece as the 'cross'. Picture #5 clearly shows the zerk
fitting screwed into the cross piece on both old and new.
