The courts just threw out a jury awarded 120 million slander suit
against the city for our last major of San Diego.

Dave, it's easy enough to understand.
It's got nothing to do with pollution or the automakers doing anything
wrong (they didn't), it has EVERYTHING to do with a politician abusing
his powers and trying to get headlines so he can win another election.
In this case I think the legal term is "prosecutorial misconduct".
