another shackle question

Thanks Bill. Another great suggestion. I thought about re-arcing the
springs but considering the jeep has 144,000 miles on it and the
shackles will cost me under $10. to produce, i'll probably go this
route. If it were a newer rig, and if i were taking it off road, that
would be the better solution.

Even the shorter over length shackles will apply too much leverage
and bend what's left of your springs backwards:
