Re: AMC360 swap into a Wrangler ???
I note that the 727 it comes with is rated M on your chart, same as the
AX15.
The 360 in its stock form isn't that powerful (145 bhp / 300lb ft), although
I
gather that putting an edelbrock performer cam/intake/carb ups the power
considerably.

Re: AMC360 swap into a Wrangler ???
On top of that, the 727 with the Dodge bolt pattern was found behind some
very powerful engines. The internals of the transmission are the same. And
then if you read further down on the list, a Ford E4OD gets an H rating,
even though it is known that these things are weak until many of the
internal components are upgraded. I personally would take some of the info
on the chart with a grain of salt.

very powerful engines. The internals of the transmission are the same. And
then if you read further down on the list, a Ford E4OD gets an H rating,
even though it is known that these things are weak until many of the
internal components are upgraded. I personally would take some of the info
on the chart with a grain of salt.

Re: AMC360 swap into a Wrangler ???
Also the AX15 is one of the ones that Novack make the V8 adaptors for,
according to them it will hold up behind a V8, although they don't say which
V8.
