Alumi-Flex (junk?)
Anyone tried these tie rods/draglink? I put a set on last fall, and now
only after the third "hard-core" ride, the tie rod is bowed downward. I am
very disappointed! Way too much money to fail so easy! I thought they
would be indestructible.

It's made to flex:
http://www.macromotive.com/mm_images...2008bent_l.jpg but like
your springs there's a limit. I would give the manufacturer a chance to
make it good. Personal, I strive to miss the rocks or put them under a
wheel, once your axle hits something high enough to come contact with
your tie rod you're stopped anyway.

Re: Alumi-Flex (junk?)
Hi Bill,
I guess if you ride gravel roads and sand dunes you would never damage a tie
rod!
If you have ever done any serious rock crawling you would know that you
can't always keep the big ones under your tires. There is a market out
there for these (indestructible? tie rods) and diff guards, and high steer
components, and.....
