A 3" body lift, DUH! You have stretched the steering column due to the lift.
There are straps and such under the dash board to secure the steering
column. Perhaps you can release these bolts to allow the steering column to
slide towards the steering box and close the gap in the joint.

A 3" body lift, DUH! You have stretched the steering column due to the lift.
There are straps and such under the dash board to secure the steering
column. Perhaps you can release these bolts to allow the steering column to

Is that going to solve the slippage? How does that joint work?
Obviously, my steering wheel will now be 3" closer. What do I need to
do to correct this?

Thanks for the info....Still more questions though...

Is that going to solve the slippage? How does that joint work?
Obviously, my steering wheel will now be 3" closer. What do I need to
do to correct this?
