Re: 88 comanche p/u
Kevin in San Diego did pass the time by typing:

ZJ does the same thing. Skeered the carp out of me first time.
Did a little experiment, put some angle aluminum down on the lower
bumper and it worked to deflect the water. Too bad it looked st00pid.
Been thinking about having someone film the ZJ going through a big puddle
then analyzing it and fitting a deflector. But in the mean while, I
just drive slower. :)

Re: 88 comanche p/u
some of the good news is that it's all amc. I have a brand new "87 comanche
mine til I die. the only truck I know of built without a frame...as all amc
designs are. amc galvanized lower body panels, so mine also has no rust as
all. krysler stopped that practice, and I'm seeing lots of rotted-out sills
on krysler-built xj's and zj's....duh....mine has original
everything...except exhaust,of course.

Re: 88 comanche p/u
My Dad had one of those (think it was an '87) , and it was a monster.
He had it for 150k or so, gave it to a friend, and I think it's still
running. He did have to get a new transmission once, though, I think.
It was a great truck, but the low side panels rusted out pretty badly
and the metal was thin there.
