The mouse and rat motors used in the old Camaro had nothing in common with the engines used in the Trans Am. Different blocks entirely. |

I've seen some weird full sized Pontiacs from the fifties and
sixties, that where made in Canada, but for everything else, GM shares nothing between their Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Chevrolet divisions, not even a tire rim from the muscle car err. Weren't the Trans Am and the Camaro of the 70's/80's/90's based on the same platform? * * * Matt Macchiarolo www.townpeddler.com www.wolverine4wd.org http://wolverine4wd.org/rigs/macchiarolo_ml.html |

Right now I'm kinda looking for an early 70's Cadillac Deville convertible. Would make an awesome tow vehicle. I saw the Top 10 Used Tow Rigs article in one of the new mags, and even though it seemed to be a "tongue in cheek" portion (they also included a Peterbilt tractor) an old Caddy towing a Jeep just has a certain cool factor in my mind. * * * Matt Macchiarolo www.townpeddler.com www.wolverine4wd.org http://wolverine4wd.org/rigs/macchiarolo_ml.html |
