Hi Scott,
The light is lit under vacuum. Have you pulled the lines so that
you know for sure it is sticking and needs replacement, and not a
control switch failure? Axle vacuum diagram:

The shift motor is leaking causing vacuum to be present at the switch all
the time. Looks like I'll be getting a new motor.

Good advice.
If you don't want to buy the kit, it's pretty easy to rig up a cable
pull yourself. I used an old PTO cable, a scrap of plate, a bolt, a
small hose clamp, and four nuts:

I reused the crap aluminum shift fork. Works okay for now, but I'll
upgrade to a cast iron fork if it gets too sloppy.
