Yep ('05 model). I just put the disc in.

The trick is to burn a valid CD. That took me a few tries to get
right. Test the disc in a regular CD player first to avoid excess
trips outside and back to the computer. (Note: this is -not- illegal,
I paid for the music that I put on an expendable disc so that the
original won't be damaged)

Here are the steps, using my computer :

First rip the original disc
$ cdda2wav -vall cddb=0 -D2,0 -B -Owav
Obtain necessary privileges to write to the burner
$ su root
Burn the audio to the blank disc
# cdrecord -v dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 -dao -audio -useinfo -text -eject *.wav

Note that I have a Real Operating System on my computer
(http://www.debian.org/). If you need to obtain a Real OS to
create/copy cds check out http://www.knoppix.org/ or
http://www.ubuntulinux.org/. Both of those sites provide a CD image
you can boot with and not change anything on your hard drive (in other
words your MS Windows will be entirely unaffected and unaltered).

cause trouble in some players. You can use the -paranoia switch on
cdda2wav (or use cdparanoia instead of cdda2wav) for scratch
reconstruction and super robust verification and synchronization. Takes
a long time to run but sometimes mandatory for a clean rip.

I'll make a note of that. I used to use cdparanoia, but then I
discovered that cdda2wav works nicely and gives me the disc/track info
too (CDDB lookup). The '-paranoia' switch will provide the remaining
functionality cdparanoia has over cdda2wav. Thanks.

For society, it's probably a good thing that engineers value function
over appearance. For example, you wouldn't want engineers to build
nuclear power plants that only _look_ like they would keep all the
radiation inside.

Well I amk talking about the cd's I burn on my pc that I download from
I-tunes. MP4s I guess but I have MP3's I sometimes get from IRC as well. I
have bought a few dance cds that are from Austraila and other places that
won't play either. But they will play in other cd players in other cars. A
2000 Malibu comes to mind as well as other friends cars.

When I put the CD in the palyer makes noise like it wants to read the cd
then it says error and spits it back out.
