What is the purpose of using relays for fog lights. A relay came with
my KC's but I did not use it. I went straight from the battery to the
lights, breaking the hot side with a toggle switch.

Re: 12v relays purpose ???
Hi Kevin,
We loose power for every extra foot the wire travels. It's like the
water hose in your front yard, the spigot uses a 3/8" washer to shut the
water off, yet we know it takes a 5/8" hose to go fifty feet with any
pressure at all, if you use a half inch hose you'll see the water just
has enough power to dribble out. Correct your installation using this
chart:
http://www.sei4x4.org/Wire_Size_Char...ize_chart.html KC says
the 100-watt bulb will draw 8.3 amps.
