For the 2008 Wrangler X 2 door the Dana 44's are included with the tow
package (just under $300 list) not "all" Wranglers. The front axle with
the tow package is still Dana 30's.

What you say was true for the 2007 - but NOT the 2008. I just checked the
window sticker on my 2008 and under standard equipment, it lists "Next
Generation Dana 44 Heavy Duty Rear Axle".

What you say was true for the 2007 - but NOT the 2008. I just checked the
window sticker on my 2008 and under standard equipment, it lists "Next

It has a lot of fine print and is not transferable. It should be
titled as such but it is not because you could trade it off when it is
but a year or two old and have no warranty on it (life time warranty
ends with resale/trade) and tell me that is not going to hurt
resale/tradein value!
