08 Wrangler Changes?

Hey everyone

Just curious if anything was changed on the 08 Wrangler. I know like
with the TJs they changed around little things from year to year. Just
wondering what was changed from the 07.

For what it's worth I know that the warranty changed, to lifetime
drivetrain, starting with late production '07's.

I don't know if they'll extend that to include early production '07's.

I don't know how accurate this is but my dealer says all Wranglers now have
the Dana 44 rear axle - but not in the front.

For the 2008 Wrangler X 2 door the Dana 44's are included with the tow
package (just under $300 list) not "all" Wranglers. The front axle with
the tow package is still Dana 30's.

What you say was true for the 2007 - but NOT the 2008. I just checked the
window sticker on my 2008 and under standard equipment, it lists "Next
Generation Dana 44 Heavy Duty Rear Axle".

You're right. I was looking at the '07 specs on the Jeep website. A good

You're right. I was looking at the '07 specs on the Jeep website. A good
reason to get the '08 :-)

It has a lot of fine print and is not transferable. It should be
titled as such but it is not because you could trade it off when it is
but a year or two old and have no warranty on it (life time warranty
ends with resale/trade) and tell me that is not going to hurt
resale/tradein value!

Yes, front is D30, rear is D44, both "New Generation" models. I guess
they broke too many D35's the first year because the V6 has to be revved
so high to get any power out of it...
