Default cruise control not working

The cruise control stopped working on my 2005 liberty. I was wondering if someone would have a check list of things I could check before bringing it to the dealer.

If the cruise light is coming on and it is not working, it could be a vacuum problem in servo motor,or a disconnected vacuum hose. The dealer scan tool also helps to diagnose problems associated to the cruise control. First check the fuse.
The servo is located under hood on passenger side, inspect hoses and linkage connected to it.
