Liberty Stereo
So I have my new speakers! :o) Alpine Type R OOooo BABY! BOOMBOOMBOOM!
Anyway... anyone know if the stereo in the new Liberty (the deck specifically) has a control unit for any other electrical device? ex. My friends Mazda 6 had all her air bags controlled by the stock deck. She had to have everything done @ Mazda so she didn't mess up her airbag system...
Would really like to know before I rip my stock deck out & put in my new system
Thanks everyone!

Re: Liberty Stereo
Go here:
http://www.crutchfield.ca/carInfo.asp
They have all the info about what will fit in your car, how to take the dash apart to install it and what interface boxes and wire harnesses you need to keep all of your other functions like chimes and lights working.
If you buy your gear here you get the instructions for free, if you don't you have to pay a bit for them. It's well worth it in any case.
I've put lot's of stereos in cars over the years and they are getting so integrated into the electrical workings of the car (jeep) that proper instructions, interfaces, and wire harness will save you tons of time and grief in the long run.
Highly recommended.
