Default 255-70-18 fit -02?

I have seen guys put 255-55-18 on /02 Libertys with no rubbing and I have a guy selling 255-70-18's ner me for a great price. He says they are under 32" in total height and I am wondering if anyone has some advice as to whether I can put these on my 02 Liberty non-lifted stock vehicle. I am evn willing to live with slight rubbing and don't really care about me speedo as it is currently out by 5kmh anyway so I rely on the gps for speedo if I look. Just really want to know if this is a fit or no fit.
Thaks,
Randy Schmidt.

I run 245-75-16, a 30.7 inch tall tires and they rub at full lock in both foreward and reverse.
And I have 4.25 inches of lift!
Yes, depending on the tire model, 255-55-18 would fit as they are only 28.9 -29 inches tall.
A 255-70-18 inch tire on the other hand is 32.1 inches tall. No way in hell you will fit those
without a minimum of 3.5 inches of lift!
Even concidering that 2002's are "Pre lowered", your suspension has sagged and bagged
out over the years and has lost it's factory height!

So you be S.O.L.

Thanks Ryan, I figured I was dreaming but the deal on the wheels was amazing. He claims they only stand 31" but he only said that after I said that was my max limit. If the guy lived near me I would have loved to have tried putting them on the Jeep out of curiousity. Didnt feel like driving 60 miles to try.
I am intrigued by the 255-55-18 idea though to see what it would look like.
