Just hope he s right cause i have a 13 JKU
Me too, but if they already know about the issue i would assume they would have switched the valves and restocked by now. I hope the 2013 models are good to go too, mine is still being built in Ohio!

I have 2012 Sahara unlimited and was happy when i got it, now i started to hear some noises.

1. Engine is not ticking yet. Lifters do tick but still not that iam concerned.
2. Shifter grinding noise, seems there is problem with manual tranny on all 2012 and 2013 models. the noise is getting right from the shifter and transfers to your dash and its getting louder and louder.
3.hardtop squeeks ( just started) or its the rear door. I try to pinpoint the sources but no luck yet.

If you go to JK forums and some other forums you will see lots of people complain about 2012 and 2013 models JK. this is real concerns and Iam in the deep thought about getting rid of this thing and going to more reliable Japaneese manufactureres.

Such a shame.

I loved my Jeep, but Chrysler is big BS manufacturer selling business on old fame.

Brave words on a jeep forum. Im not knocking your opinion and you have heard things like this also with the issues you have explained. Major reasons why people buy jeeps is because of the name and the fact there really the only vehicle on the market with solid front and rear axles (better offroading). I have heard of some transmission issues with the manuals but im not sure what year. Not much can be said about the 2013 models as they havnt been out long enough for anything to go wrong yet. But if i do run into any issues once my 2013 gets here i will put it up for sure.

My words are my opinion, I did think that Jeeps are good vehicles but after seeing all these issue left and right i do have some second thought. If the company the size of Chrysler has run the entire model year with engine that can cause so much issue than that tells me they dont care much and relying on once good reputation behind Jeep name.

I shelled almost 40 000 $ for the vehicle and I expected to be solid, rigid, tough jeep. Instead I have feeling I am getting feeling that I got the most expensive lemonade.

Not bashing the jeep, but I expected more quality behind name.

Oh, regarding 2013. do search on JK forums and some other places and dont be surprised with the number of complaints people already have ( transmission problems mostly -manual) on top of that Head replacement etc...

Well we can only do what we can do, but ether way your rig should still be under warranty. Thats the reason why i wont heavily modify my rig until ive properly run it through easy. She will be a pavement princess for the first few months i have it for sure.
