East Trouble with remote entry.. check this.

So my 2011 JKU decided to lock and unlock doors at random, notify me a door was open when it wasn't, locked all 4 drs as soon as I opened the driver side door... sometimes remote entry would work, sometimes not, the door lock switch on the drivers door decided to stop working.. so I figured I would check the wiring harness for the drivers door figuring it may have worked loose with 10K on it.

I reached up under the dash, pulled apart the connector and had a palm full of dirty water Dried it out , sprayed some contact cleaner, and good to go, no more weird stuff.

So it's off to the dealer I go this week to see if they can source out the leak.....

And yes I had a spare key cut, just in case...

Cheers

10k in a month? Did you drive to Vancouver and back? Hope the dealer can source the leak. Don't use a spare in the ignition unless it is OEM. If it ain't, call the dealer out and get them to give you a "real" spare (stupid anti-theft) for your troubles.

Yeah at 10K in a month I guess I would have to drive cross country !!!! Nah, ordered it in Sept 2010 and picked it up in mid Dec 2010, so a bit longer than a month.... I will post what happens at the dealership, I'm curious to see what they say, I thought it was something I was doing at first since the last Jeep I had was an 89 YJ and there's been a few changes since then! Oh and the spare is just to open the door in case it happens and the real key gets locked inside, I know it'll set the alarm off but I can handle that embarrassment more than standing there locked out
