Default Slow Clock

Hi. I've been following this forum for a while but haven't had anything new to ask until now.
I have a 2010 JK Mountain Edition. So far I am super happy with it. But it has one irritating problem. The clock on the stereo is slow. It looses about 10 min a month. And yea, I can reset it but it is frustrating that my one year old jeep has this issue. And has had it from the beginning. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks in advance

^^Love that reply.

I have a mountain.....but I haven't noticed it slowing down. But if it's like a laptop/computer, maybe there's a small internal battery that's dead?

Yeah my 2010's clock is also slow. Loses about 2 minutes a month. There is a thread about this issue somewhere. Can't remember if it is on this or another board.

I heard something about this quite a while back, and it isn't limited to just autos. I think it was with built in computer clocks and other devices having electronic clocks. Apparently, from what I understand, some manufacturers who use low quality (less expensive) crystals which regulate the beat frequency for the clock will have this problem. I understand that the only thing to do is buy a better quality device from the start. On the other hand, cell phones tend to have excellent clocks. My 08 Sahara with the deluxe sound system is 3 minutes out per month. I suppose if the onboard crytal reguator were changed out for something better, it would solve that problem - but at what cost?

I would look into the win module as the fault.

Just an update. I had the dealership look into it under warranty. They replaced the wireless module for free. Since then my clock has been bang on. The only issue with this was they needed to reprogram my keys to be able to link with the new module and I couldn't find my spare. I have since found it and will need to go back to get this done.
