Roof Rack?
Does anyone have any experience with transporting a 16' canoe? I have just recently purchased a 2010 unlimited JK Sahara and am looking for ideas. Any advice would be great.
Thanks,

You could try the following site at Quadratec http://www.quadratec.com/products/12028_7010_07.htm. They do ship to canada but you could look at Canadian suppliers.

Watch out for UPS shipping. They have great prices till it shows up at the door and they want another 150$ in "brokerage and duties"
Shop canadian if you can but I'd suggest you just get some good strong rope and some foam blocks from crappy tire. I used that on the top of my XJ and on the top of my Ranger and it worked great.

I've dealt with Just Jeeps before. Was unimpressed by pricing and service but thats just my 2 cents.
Theres also www.national4wd.com www.northridge4x4.ca www.pjf4x4.com www.rockspyder.com All of which you'll need to call to see if they can get it for you and if so a price.
PJF is a great company. In southern ontario you may be able to get something built by Staangs Fab. I'm sure he'd give you a great price since it would be a prototype for a new product.

Re: Roof Rack?
Thanks for the ideas. I was also thinking of the foam blocks but I wasn't sure if the hardtop roof would be able to handle a canoe strapped to it.
I will check out the websites that have been noted.
Thanks again.
